A One-sided Game Yesterday—Other Contests. Half a thousand tired spectators left Stand Pipe Park yesterday afternoon, surfeited with the success of the home team, tired of the un- evenness of the contest between Washington and Williams College. The score was only 29 to 8, and it would probably have been larger had not the Senators grown excessively weary from their base trotting and ceased trying in the seventh inning. The game was acomplete avalanche from the start. The home team had scored 22 runs before acollege man had crossed the plate—8 in the first, 2 in the second, 8 more in the third and 4 in the fifth, Then Williams made 2 in the sixth on a couple of hits, a single by Brown and a home-run drive by Cox. IF THE WEATHER PERMITS, Today's game, the weather permitting, will be between the Boston League team and the Statesmen. The latter will make a strong ef- fort to continue their work of winning and will put Maloney and Riddle in to start off the bat- tery work against Clarkson and Bennett. The chances are rather against the home team, but the game will probably be a pretty one. ‘Bos- ton plays tomorrow as well, so that if it should rain today the people will not be robbed of a chance to see the team that the league trium- virate of the Hub saved from the wreck. ' It appears that the Pennsylvania case is notin point, But as to this easement that does not run with the lana by deed but by virtue of the building regula- tons, what of it? It may be re- pee indeed, that this would give the first uilder a decided advantage over the owner of the adjacent vacant lot, to which it may be answered that where there are two to decide the one who is about to build should have as much weight as the other, if not more, and if the builder waives his optional right of taking four inches of his neighbor's nae byb build- ing @ wall wholly on his ow: that all should not be considered “an obstruction, nuisance to be abated by an appeal to a court A GREAT WRONG WAS DONE, Judge Brooke Charges the Grand Jury to Ferret Out the Lynchers.
