One of the saloon men whose place was demolished bas filed an affidavit charging the seventy-five women who participated in the crusade with riotous con- duct and confiscation of private property. The prosecuting attorney has been asked to resign, but he refuses and says he will issue warrants for the arrest of everybody as fast as the affidavits are filed. Unlimited backing has been guaranteed the ladies and they sneer at the idea of being arrested. The people are determined that no harm shall come to a single woman. Everybody is exe ted and the situa- tion is a dangerous one. Dexver, Cor., Feb. 12.—All trains from the east and south were delayed by Monday night's storm from three to twenty hours. Tho snow was not heavy. but was mixed with sand. Con- sequently it was impossible to use plows, and miles of track had to be cleared by band shovel- ing. HE GASHED HIS THROAT. An Aged Pensioner Attempts Suicide With a Dull Knife. There wasasad scene ‘today in a two-story frame shanty in an alley in tife rear of G street northeast between Ist and 2d streets, An aged man named Michael Lane attempted to commit muicide by cutting his throat. The knife was dull and that is the reason why he did not succeed, Lane is about seventy or seventy-five years old and is one of Uncle Sam's pensioners who has not been rerated. He lived in the shanty with his aged wife. The old man unfortunately was a lover of “Swampoodle” whisky end for three or four days had beeu im- bibing freely. This morning he was much the woree for the liquor he had drank. His wife went out about 10 o'clock to get something for their breakfast. When she returned she found her husband sitting in the backroom on the floor and blood pouring from a wound in his throat. When she saw the ghastly sight she screamed and several of her neighbors went to the house.
