The Indians are afilicted with the grip in its most severe form, and being without proper medical attendance they quickly succumb to it. Seventy-five per cent of them are down with the epidemic, and if speedy ac- tion is not taken by the authorities in the way of sending physicians few will survive. The front truck of the mail car gave way, derailing the engine and the entire train.
