Aletter just received from a London artist says: “I ain glad you have Decca with you. We cannot forget how grandly her voice floated through Covent Garden, that enormous place, and how the people yelled and stamped and clapped for minutes ‘after, and how the orchestra joined clapping and striking their instruments.” The concert will be patronized by leading society people interested in the work of charity, and the new hall will present a brilliant appearance. ee The Witherbee Divorce Case. In the case of Alfred 8, Witherbee against Marie A. Witherbee, in which a divorce was granted yesterday by Judge Cox, as stated in ‘Tux Star, the simple charge appearing in the bill is desertion. Mr. Leonard in February, 1886, when she gave the name of Maria Anto- netti Dunlop, that it was afterward ascertained that this was an assumed name, her correct name being Sarah Lena McCarthy; that six months after the marriage she deserted him, and that the last time he heard from her she was in Bismarck, Dak. This case is more fully explamed in the divorce case of Rosena Mac- key against Thos, J, Mackey, in which a decree was made in behalf of complainant in June last, the grounds charged being adultery with Mrs. Witherbee. ee Ideal Minstrel Troupe.
