A GREAT PAPER. Some of the Literary Dainties of To- morrow’s Bil of Fare. Preparations have been made for an unu- sually interesting paper tomorrow, Tux Stax will be issued in twelve-page form as usual on Saturdays, and each page will contain a large emountof seading matter of the character which Tug Sram readers particularly enjoy. The phenomenal success of Tur Stam is to s large extent due to the unflagging eforts it has made in the interest of Washington. It has always favored projects that would benefit the District and opposed everything that would not stand the test of a tareful examination as to object and effect. This has so closely identified the paper with the people that in nearly every household in the District it is a most welcome Gaily visitor. Nothing is left undone to make ftin every sense of the word a family paper, end special pains are taken to prepare for Saturday's issue a number of chapters on sub- Jocts of local and general interest which shall be particularly suitable for reading in the family circle, The following are some of the features of tomorrow's pape:: SAUNTERINGS IN MEXICO (Illustrated).— Avvisit to the capital city of a neighboring republic—Interesting sketches of people and things. Further Arrangement Gathering Next DETAILS OF THE BIG PARADE SETTLED—THR LINE OF MARCH 4ND ORDER OF FORMATION—EX- HIBITION DRILLS BY DIFFERENT COMMAND- ERIES—OBSERVATION STANDS. Mr.,Harrison Dingman, the secretary of the Knights Templar triennial committee, has to answer half a dozen questions at once nowadays, besides looking over an enormous mail and keeping a couple of type writers at work, Rep- resentatives of commanderies in other cities are constantly calling for information, chair- men of subcommittees come around to talk things over, boarding-house keepers who want to register rooms with the com- mittee, come siugly or in squads, and alto- gether they give to the headquarters of the committee in the Atlantic building an ani- mated air. Next week Secretary Dingman will be relieved of some of the myriad responsibili- ties that have settled around his desk, for Mr, ¥ on M. Parker, cl an of the committee, go down to the Atlantic building and give Bis whole time to the business of the commit- tee, occupying a room there and dispatching | &4 business at his usual lightning speed. Mr, Parker has been ill with a severe cold for some days, but has nearly recovered. THE ROUTE OF THE PARADE. All of the details of the grand parade on the 8th, in which over 15,000 uniformed knights will bein line, have been settled, and now all that has to be done when a new commandery reports is to assign it to a division. The general arrangement of the line was an- nounced in yesterda: Srar. Chief Mar- shal Parker has had a map prepared show- ing ghe route, the rendezvous of each division and the manner in which the line will be formed, The first division forming the immediate escort of the Grand encamp- ment will form at Masonic gr march by F street to the Ebbitt, where they will receive the members of the Grand encampment, and then proceeding to 15th street, will turn south to Pennsylvania avenue, thence to the peace monument, and around’ the Capitol grounds by way of Ist street and South B. The other eleven divisions forming the main body of the parade will form about the Capitol in the streets leading out upon B streets south and north and Ist street east. The second and third divisions will form on New Jersey avenue south of B street south, the fourth on Ist street cast south of B_ street; the fifth on Bstreet east of 1st, the sixth on East Capitol, the seventh on 2d’ street south of East Capitol, the eighth on A street north, the ninth on Maryland avenue, the tenth on B street north, east of Ist, the eleventh on Ist street north of B, and the twelfth on North Capitol street. The first division when it reaches the Capitol will go completely around the huge square — by the streets bordering upon the Capitol grounds, going up the hill on the south side and coming down on the north. passes the streets named the various div they are uncovered, out and take their places in line, From the Capitol the line of march il be like that followed by the inaugural parade. It 1 go westwardly by way of Pennsylvania peal 15th street and Pennsylvania ave- nue to Washington circle, pass around the circle and go east by way of K street to Mt. Vernon square, passing a reviewing stand to be er d near the corner of 10th. The line will be dispersed at Mt. Vernon square, all except the first division or immediate escort of the Grand encampment, which will march with that body down oth toF and thence to Ma- sonic temple, where the Grand encampment will bold ita sessions, STANDS ON THE RESERVATIONS, Chairman Parker had called on the Secretary of War this morning and asked that permission be given to erect observation stands on public resorvations __ slong the route of the parade, arker thought today that there was ttle doubt that the privi- ked would be granted. The secretary Mr. Parker to make the application in writing, aud this Mr. Purker will do. Mr. Parker stated to the secretary that no damage would be done to the reservations, and that the stands will be removed as soon as the parade is dismissed, Mr, Parker says that the Templars coming from every state and territory will be accompanied by ladies, and it is especially to give these visi- tors opportunity to see the parade that the stands are desired. THE EXETBITION DRILL to take place at the base ball grounds on Wed- nesday, the 9th, will be an attractive feature of ‘The ravages of the caterpillars and English sparrows. sities PERSONAL MENTION, Mr. W. The Zion Lutheran church, corner 6th and P streets northwest, which has remained closed during the past two months, will be reopened for worship on Sunday. During the time the church has been closed the interior has under- gone acomplete change of appearance. The walls and ceiling, which had become dark and discolored, have been given a thorough over- hauling, the walls being kalscmined and the ceil- ing handsomely frescoed. ‘The seats, the backs of which were formerly ite high, ‘have been reduced in height so as by more com- fortable, and have received a liberal supply of paint and varnish, while the aisles have been covered with carpet in place of the mattin; which was previously there. Another decide improvement noticed is the staining of the —— windows in the church in place of the bare glass panes. ‘This bas the effect of throw- ing a soft mellow light of yellow over the audi- torium and makes the appearance of the room particularly agreeable and pleasant to the ey. Other improvements of a minor nature have also been made, all of which have the effect of making the interior greatly changed for the better, and all of which has been done ata very moderate cost, The order of services hitherto evailing will continue. The pastor, Rev. Mr. Komsiguens, will preach in the German lan- guage in the morning and in the English tongue at night, while Sunday schools of Ger- man and English will be held in the morning and evening peacoat, with the young peo- ples’ association in English on Thursday even- ings.
