2 ARRESTED FOR WIFE POISONING, Ferdinand Knaack ck Supposed to Have Got Rid of Two Wives. Cutcaco, July 22—A “A dispatch from Neenah, ‘Wis., says: The sheriff of Wausharn county arrested Ferdinand Knaack at Kavkauna, Sat- urday, on a warrant charging him with poison- ing his wife. Knaack is a German about forty years old and owns a farm at Springwater, ten miles from Wantoma. He was married last ‘May to young girl and about a week ago she was taken suddenly ill and died. Miwavxes, July 22.—A wrestling match be- tween Evan Lewis and Charles Green attracted 1,000 people to Athletic park yesterday after- noon. Green claims the championship of England and his match with Lewis was one of the best yet seen here, although Lewis showed himself to be more scientific. The conditions of the match were catcb-as-catch can, two points down, best three in five falls. Lewis won three straight falls. Meyasna, Wis., July 22.—During the past two years people have at various times claimed to have seen a sea serpent in Lake Winnebago. Others who saw the alleged monster said it was a whale. In one or. two instances affidavits to the truth of the claim were made. It is now found that there was some ground for the Stories told. Saturday afternoon while two boys were spearing frogs near the lake they saw the monster in a shallow pool. Assistance was summoned and a sea lion 11 feet long was captured.
