Rudolph Siegland, ‘harleston, 8. C. nora INAUGURAL COMMITTEE. A Big Club from Boston Coming Here in March. Mr. York, assistant secretary of the Home Market club of Boston, was here to-day and called on the inaugural committee. The object of his visit is to arrange for the coming of the cab here on inauguration day. The club num- bers 4,000 members, and it is expected that about 500 will come and join in the inaugural parade. Many of these will bring their wives. They will probably get accommodations at the Buckingham. Mr. Britton, chairman of | ¥, the inaugural committee, to-day sent to Secre- tary Vilas, with his signature, the agreement drawn up between Commissioner Black and himself relating to the use of the Pension build- ing for the inaugural ball. ORGANIZING THE GRAND AND PRTIT JURIES. The December term of the Criminal Court was convened by Judge Montgomery this morning and the return of jurors summoned by the marshal was remarkable, showing per- soual service in the cases of Fe but two of the forty-nine summoned. Of the jurors, wa Ross failed to answer. frends were excused: James Graham, over age; Thos. Hungerford, E. 8. Hutchinson and E. Mor- sell, on account of business, &c. The Indianians residing in this city gave Governor-elect Hovey a reception Saturday evening in the parlors of the Ebbitt house. Between two and three hundred called during the evening and extended their congratulations to the successful candidate. General Hovey will resign his seat in Congress, to take effect December 31, and leave immediately afterward for his inauguration, which takes place Janu- ary 14. RESULT OF THE INQUEST OVER TAE BODY OF FRANK M'CLEMMENTS. The man whose body was found on the Balti- | more and Ohio railroad near Ivy City Friday | night, as published in Saturday's Star, was named Frank McClemments, and not McCle!- lan, as was stated, although he was generally known by the latter name. At the inquest held at the sixth precinct station yesterday, W. B. Jennings, the horse-owner, for whom the decensed had worked, testified. and the two tramps, Williem Stevenson and John Du- gan. told how they found the body. There was no evidence to show that fon! play was even 6 ted. and the jury decided that the deceaned was killed by strain.
