The Swatara Ends Her Voyage—The General’s Condition Satisfactory. The U. 8, 8, Swatara, bearing Gen. Sheridan and party, arrived off New Bedford, Mass., at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Sheridan and the two isters of Charity were put on shore by a small boat followed by a steam launch belonging to the ship, towing an open boat in which the general lay on astretcher, When the boat came into shallow water adozen sailors waded in and carried the stretcher ashore. ‘There was a largo crowd in- cluding a number of photographers, but the general's face was shielded from view by an um- brella. When inside the cottage the general ex- pressed himself as greatly pleased with every- thing he saw.
