After Tue Star's report of the trial of John F ‘Sullivan, charged with killing Henry T. Lipscomb im an encounter in West Washington on the 3d of ‘November last, closed yesterday, Sullivan took the ‘Stand in his own behalf. He testified that he was coming down stairs, saw Lipscomb at the door, and heard him say, “Let that —— of a——out;” Lipscomb grabbed his sister by the throat, and he Went to her assistance, when be struck witness With a brick. Witness denied that he had ever made any al threats to Lipscomb.
