The question of the adulteration of food has re- ceived special attention of late on account of the Tecent report of the government chemists, who were appointed some twelve months or so ago for the express purpose of investigating this most Im- portant matter. This report calls the attention of the public very forcibly to the existence of evils Litherto unsuspected.
