SWORN IN A SHED. ‘The New Library Site Jury Organizes and Begins Work. The new brary site jury of twelve was sworn In to-day. At ten o'clock # carriage containing Marshal Wilson, Deputy Marshel Phillips, and District Attorney Worthington, each provided With a portfolio of papers drove up to Dominic MeMenamin's marble yard,on Capitol Hill, where the jury was summoned to assemble. Some of the jurors were already there together with a number of property owners, aud a little equad of lawyers. Thejury, the property owners, the lawyers, and the marshal all seemed to be in good humor. Some dry remarks were made ‘about the melancholy surroundings, asthe yard was filled with tombstones, Lawyer Perry suggested that it was emblematic of the tate of the property owners, Marshai Wilson said the lace Was chosen not on account of tombstones, Wut because there was a shed on it, THE ELEVENTH HOUR. Mr. Zachariah Tobriner, one of the appealing Property owners, gave in at the last moment and withdrew his appeal. Mr. Murphy told a STAR reporter to-day, after the vole was announced, that there would be at least forty members who would vote against the bill now who would have Voted for it with the Hennepin scheme in. He said that the canal project would have strength- ened the bill with the President.
