AN OLD COLORED MAN'S HEAD CRUSHED UNDER THE WHEELS. Henry Simms, colored, 70 years old, was ran over and instantly killed by car No. 19, on the Washington and Georgetown railroad last night about 11 o'clock, near the corner of 26th and M streets uorthwest. The remains were removed to the fourth precinct station, Simms had been visiting friends in and left shortly before 11 o'clock on car No. 34. When near the corner of 26th and M streets the car was stopped, and as the old man started away he walked into car 19, which was going down the grade. He was knocked down Tun over by the car, the wheel passing over bis head, killing him instantly. coroner will hold an fnquest this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the fourth precinct station. William A. Hale to recover $100, was begun before Justice 8. C. Mills yesterday’ afternoon, Mr. Knizht testified that he paid $100 to Dr. Hale, who: for that sum to cure his wite of a ‘malady with which she was troubled in thirty days. A year had elapsed, and she was noteured. Dr. Hale claimed that he had cured the lady to the extant that he had agreed. The hearing was continued to secure testimony showing the physical condition of the lady at the time she first visited Hale.
