As stated in yesterday's STax_ Inspector Ent- wisie, accompanied by Commissioner Lydec- ker, pald a visit to the Dennison school bulld- ing’on 8 near Lith street, for a thorough ex- amination of the adaptability of the building for its purposes. Major Lydecker was much Pleased with it, and pronounced it superior to ‘any school building he had ever scen. Inspector Entwisle says itis the best school building in the country. Itis admirably situated, the plan is superior, the ground roomy and the building ye for its intended seating capacity. The boiler room is located on the north side of the building and outside of It, ‘The selivol building is twenty feet froma the butiding line, with a 20- foot central paved entrance-way to a sixteen- foot doorway, There is also a twelve-toot en- trance each side of the main entrance in front, with shaded and pleasnut surroundings, In° side the two twelyefoot hullways there are fire-proof stairways to the second story.
