THE RESULT OF A TEST IN EAST WASHINGTON WITH A DYNAMITE SHELL. A test was made yesterday afternoon of the Snyder dynamite projectile, which seemed to settle the question of the destructiveness of the projectile. The test was made on the open space on the Eastern branch, between 11th and h streets, An iron target was placed againet alurge mound of earth, and 65 yards away was placed a six-inehed rifled breech-loading howitzer used to fire the projectile. The shell used was of brass, weighing 65 pounds. Mr. Solomons in the chair, for the purpose of discussing ways and means for the extinguishment of the debt and payment of interest on the property held by the organization.
