Randolph Mordecal, wife of one of Balti Mmore’s most prominent Merchants, and a leader in the highest social circles, has been declared insane and takentoan asylum. On Saturday last Mra Mordecal went out yachting with a party of friends, and it isthought that her brain was affected by the sun. She acted strangely on the return trip. On Sunday, during services at the Franklin Square Presbyterian church, her conduct was such as to compel her removal.’ A few days later she called | two friends of the family into the house—Mr, | Robert Garrett, of the Baltimore and Ohio raliroad, and Mr. Thomas Hillen, son of ex-Mayor Hillen— and began talking wildly to them. y saw that she was insane, and had her placed in charge of her family, Later physicians were summoned, who recommended that she be placed in an asylum: | She was taken to Dr, Conrad’s asylum last nigh | Prior to the trip on the yacht Mrs. Mordecal w apparently tn good health.
