In MEMoRY OF JUDGE BLACK.—A meeting of the bar was held in the Supreme Court room to-day to take appropriate action in respect to the death of Judge Jere. Black: Senator Edmunds was called to the chair and Mr. McKenney chosen Secretary. Eulogistic addresses were delivered by Messrs. Merrick, Emery, Ashton, and W. H. Smith. CRaM.—Brevet Major General Thomas Jefferson Cram, colonel engineer corps, U.S. A., retired, died suddenly in a Phila- delphia street horse car yesterday afternoon, of heart disease. He was born in New Hampshire and appointed to the military academy in 1822, In 1865 he was proimoted colonel, and the year after bre- vetted major general “for fatthful and meritorious services during the rebellion.” HB was retired in 1869.
