A long discussion sprang up in the House this morning over a resolution offered by Mr. Geddes, of Ohio, to grant a month's extra pay to discharged employes, it being advocated by Messra, Geddes and Kelfer, of Ohio, and opposed by Mr. Reagan, of ‘Texas, on the ground that the House had no right to be charitable with other people's money, and by Mr. Cobb, of Indiana, on the ground that it would include in its provisions persons who had been put on the roll at the close of the last session.
