Callahan, formerty a letter-carrier, Who was indicted in May last for opening letters, was this morning surrendered by his surety, Mr. John Webster. Callahan, on his first arrest, had a hearing before United States Commissioner Mills on the charge of opening letters addressed to M. A. Dauphin, N. Murphy, the young man who was killed from a blow on the head with a gtone, found a verdict that the deceased came to hfS death from a wound in- ilicted on Wednesday by a blow from a stone, which the jury believes to have been thrown by Daniel Munford, colored.
