This recommended the discontinuance of afternoon service in churches, so that entire attention might be given to Sunday schools. The report was accompanied with a res- olution recommending the adoption of the connec- tional Sunday school union and the observance of, children’s day, aud pledging support to every Ptfore made to provide the Sunday schools with & Uterature of theirown. The discussion of this Tepert wiil be continued to-day. At the afternoon session of the conference an election was held for three delegates to represent the Baltimore conter- ence in the General conference, which meets in Baltimore on the ist of May, i884.
