CARFENTERS AND DECORATORS REFARING THE SKATING RINK. Busy hands of carpenters and decorators under the direction of the Light Infantry fair committee have so transformed the interior of the Skating Rink that the most constant attendants would hardly recognize a familar feature. Instead of the depressed center with a light platform around {t, a floor has been laid eight feet above the as- phalt surface on a lever with this upper platform, which circles the hall All the dressing-rooms on the sides have been removed, except those on the west side. In the southwest corner a handsome dining hall has been built with entrance leading into the nd hall. This hall provides more space any fair ever held here has hat. Along the sides of the hall are twenty booths eight feet across. In the center of each booth 13a space jutting out from the apex, Which, when draped with flags, will form a tent lke front. ‘The goods in the booths will be ar Tanged on shelves close to the wall, and the ladies in charge will have nothing to intervene between them and the visitors, In the center of the hall will be the flower-stand, octagon in form and Graped with bunting. At'the southern end will be adouble st.nd, the upper portion being for the bdand and the lower for the wheel of fortune Jacob's wells will be scattered about the ball con- venient for the thirsty.
