Kershaw, gray-haired blacksmith, of Ist street, between K and L streets southeast, last evening seriously assvulted his wite Sarah, who once obtained a divorce from him, but Subsequently remarried him. About 6:30 p.m. Kershaw came home trom his work, in a partally intoxicated condition, and found fault with the supper and began to abuse his wife, and struck her several times. When she ran, he threw a small pocket knife at her, which struck her and cut her face. A grown daughter of Mrs. Kershaw pleaded with her father to not Kill her mother, when he turned on the daughter and drove her from the house.
