Jared L. Elliott is now being heard in the Court in General Term— Messrs, Cook and Cole appearing for the caveator of the will, Edward G. Elliott, a nephew of tae deceased, and Messrs. J. J. Johnson and W. F. Mattingly for the propounder of the will, Mr. H. Clay Stewart, executor and restduary legate. The deceased died on the morning of April 16th, 1881, In the 74h year of his age, having on the pro. ceding dey signed and executed what purported to be he last. will and. testament. He was a bachelor, and one of four children, there having been one brother and two sisters. The brother died many years before him, and his two sisters only a short time previous ‘to his death, nelther of his sisters ever having been married.
