BREWSTER CAMERON AND FOREMAN DICKSON.— ‘The Philadelphia papers report. the arrival there, last Saturday night, of Mr. Brewster Cameron, who has been recalled by the government frou San Francisco, to meet the ¢ of attempted bribery made ‘by Foreman Dickson, of the star route jury. Mr. Cameron proceeded direct from San Francisco to Philadelphia. The Times, cf that city, says: “He was notified by a telezram from ex-District Attorney W. W. Ker to come to see him before proceeding to Washington, and in obedience to instructions he called at Mr. Ker’s residence yesterday afternoon and remained in conference until pastevening. Mr. Cameron has prepared a full statement of the incidents upon Which Dickson is supposed to have based his allegations of attempted bribery, and it 1s a com- plete denial, he says, of such an intent. Mr. Ker and Mr. Cameron, when interviewed, declined to make public av présent the facts in the case. Tt would not only be premature,’ sald Mr. Ker, ‘but a discourtesy to the Attorney General, to whom Mr. Cameron 18 to make his statement at the earllest opportunity. He will leave Philadelphia either to-night or to-morrow morning for Newport for this purpose.
