A® OPEN LETTER. FROM THE HON. WM. TAYLOR, LATE SENATOR OF MASSACHUSETTS. OF GENERAL PUBLIC INTEREST JUST AT THIS SEASON. A GRAPHIC PRESENTATION OF HIS OWN CASE, Gentlemen:—To say that I am grateful is only a peor expression of my feelings, but it is the best word I can use, for I iecl it in every sense of the word. I have been a great suffcrer with skin diseares for the last twelve (12) years. My head end face being covered with sores, I could not rest with the burning heat and itching of the parts affected, and was confined to my house for weeks ata time. My disease hss been called Scrofulous Ec- zema, of a most aggravated type, by many physicians, but I doubt if ever fully understood by any of them. It was more like a combination of several skin humors. I have spent much money se-king acure, and in 1867 I went to Europe and consulted some of the best physi- cians in London. Ireceive1 temporary relief only, for in the spring it would break out again as bad as ever. When I came back to Boston I was told by many friends that Dr. (whose reputation for the cure of thone diseases was of the hixhest order) could cure me. I waited on the doctor; he prescribed for me. I fol- lowed his advice for s:x months, and [ can safely say without any improvement. I tried cther physicians, and among them Dr. —, of east Boston, and Dr. —, of city proper, but all to no purpose. Tney did me no good; their remedies were so ineffectual that at no time did I feel that acure would result from them. Now, about three months ago, Mr. Meehan, a gentleman well known to Boston peopie, calied my attention to your Curicura REMEDIES and promised wonderful reults if I would only make a trial. He told me of his own experience with {t, and so persevered on me that I went with him toa drug store and bought them, and com- menced to use them according to the directions. There ‘was so much humor lodged within the skin that as oon as I commenced the use of Curicura it cameto the eur- face and festered until vast quantities had come out and ereatly intensified my eufterings for about two weeks. But I did not mind this, as1 felt that I was going to ret rid of the humor when I saw it coming to the surface in euch large quantities. After the first two or three weeks’ use of these remedies I was greatly encoura:red by agradual lessening of the inflammation of a number of painful sores. Icarefully, faithfuly and cheerfully followed the directions to the letter, feeling each week nearer a cure, until at the present moment, after three months’ use of Curicuna Rewepres and twelve: years of as constant suffering as was ever endured, I can say Iam cured, and pronounce my case the most remarka- Die on record. I have been so elated with my success that I have stopped men othe street, who were afilicted, and told them to get the Currcuna Remepres, and they would cure then. ‘This is why I am so grateful to you, for Ibelieve them to be the best and greatest discovery of the age, and tlmt they will cure all who are suffering with these diseases. Iimay add that I took no internal medicine but the CuricuRa REsoLVENT, the New Blood ler. “WILLIAM TA Bosrox, Aug. 22, 1878. Oe To Messrs. Weeks & Potter, Boston. ‘The Curicura Rrsoivenz, the New Blood Purifier, is not » virulent poison concealed under an innocent ‘Vegetable name, nor is it a senseless mixture of nauseous drugs, but a grand medicine, every ingredient of which has a purpose artd a power beyond any blood purifier or alterative ever before compounded. Hence its ability tocure Scrofulous Humor les in ite power to remove from the blood and fluids, through the kidneys, liver and skin, the disease-breeaing element, and by curing at the outset Constipation, Dyspepsia, Indigestion and Affections of the Liver, it speedily enriches the blood, increanes the flesh and gradually restores the patient to sound health. Meanwhile, every external evidenos of disease, every patch or blotch of itching, scaly or pustu- sar humor has been removed by the external application of CuricuRa and Curicuns Sgar, the great Skin Cures. ‘Thus, in harmony with the Poral Cure, do these great remedies infallibly cure diseases which have defied the best physicians and all known remedies for hundreds of years.
