I w: attracted by the picture of the old monk on the wails, and, one day, I resolved to try this remedy, of which I had hesrd so much. I gota bottle of the Bt. Jacobs Oil and applied it At first the remedy did not seem to do me any good, but I kep: on applying it. When I began its use I was in very bad shape. My limbs were frightfully swollen, and I was gererally so situated that some of my friends did not think I wou!a live much longer. Consequently it wonld natural'y take some tims for anything to make an impresston, and it was three or four weeks before the Bt Jacobs Oil began to toll on the disease in any marked degreé, although I felt some relicf twoor three days after besin- ning the applications. You can judee something of my condition when I tsi! you that I frequently. had to take from three to five hypodermic injec tions of morphia during the course of a night. in orger to obtain sleep. About the fourth week after commencing tha use of St. Jabobs Oil I noticed great improvement, and I discarded the morphia and relied upon the great remedy alone. My improvement wax rapid from that time out, until I expericnced entire relief. I suppose I used 8 dozen bottles of the Oilaltogether. My friends notice great improvement in my appearance, and I myself Zeel almost like a giant in comparison with my former condition. Iam now on my feet firmly, all the swelling has gone from my limbs, and walking isa pleasure. I have no lopger any pain. St. Jacobs Oil has relleved me. I donot hesitate to recommend the great German remedy as the only specific which has ever given me relief, ard I believe in it ag a wonderfal panacea for pain.” ‘*Do you know of other persons who have been relieved of rhevmstism by the employment of St. Jacobs Oll, Mr. Curtie?" ** Yes, two of the men who were employed in the building when it was used asa skating rink had rheumatism. Upon my recommendation they used Bt. Jacobs Oil and were eured outright I never saw arcmedy equal to it. Its effect upan me has been wonderfully healing. I recommend it right along to everybody who has any kind of pain.” Passing down Pennsylvania avenue the reporter @ropped in at Harvey’a for lunch. While convers- ing with Mr. Andrew Barns, who runs the cigar stand in that popular restaurant, the fact cropped ont that the great German remedy was also known in that house sa a wonderful healer. Mr. Barns said it was a wonderful remedy for rheumatism. Last winter Le had rheumatism in his right leg, and, by reason of the fact that he was much in the draught from the constantly opening doora he found it hard to control. While he did not say anything about his trouble to any one and kept at his post, still his sufferings were sometimes so great a8 to almost make him cry out, He finally used the St. Jacobs Oil, and six applications com- pletely cured him. He thinks it a grand remedy and can recommend itas a speedy and sure cure for rheumatic pain. Ssuntering through the Capitol, the man of news accosted Mr. B. J. Qady, one of the guides of the building, who is popular with visitors, and who by his courteons manners has won the esteem of numerous strangers. Mr. Cady said he bad heard a great deal about the wonderfal power of the Bt. Jacobs Oil in controlling psin, and he had re- cently had occasion to note the truth of what was said about the remedy by !ts effects upon a mem- berof his family. His mother-in-law, Mrs. Zim- merman, residing at No. 643 E. Capitol street, fei! own stairs four weeks ago, and was severely hurt, since which time she has bad s very bad pain in herleft shoulder. Bhehasused arnica and other remedies without getting relief, and has eadured uch suffering. A few days ago she commenced using the St. Jacoba Oil on her shoulder. She ex- perienced relief tminediately and was about well. ‘The Oilacted ike mavic He had heard soma of the men employed about the Capito! building epeak of the St. Jscobs Oil as a fine curative power. He bas also heard friends in the city refer to the St. Jacobs Oil as the king of pain. The next xentleman called on was Capt. G. W. Rogers, who stated that he had had some satisfac: tory experience with tbe St. Jacobs Oil. Captaia Rogers, who lives at the Emmet hones, said that he was a Liéutenant Commander during the late war in the United Btates Navy, and contracted a severe cold from long exposure on the Red river. ficce that time he has su‘fered constant pain in his hips. He has been treated by physicians for rheu- matism, but it has never been clear to his mind thatitisrheumatism. The other dsy he thought he would try the St. Jacobs Oil, as all things else had for twenty years failed to give hi the German remedy was reputed to be the c! pion pain cure. He applied it toone hip and, in order to test its merits quickly, applied it to the hip which always «ave him the most pain. The resnit was magical. He never had anything to give him such relief. At the time of the interview he had only applied the oil twice, and the pain was practically quelled, while the other hip upon which he had not used it was very painfal. Having tested the oil fairly, Oaptain Rogers said ho in- tended to employ iton both hips hereafter regu- larly until he is completely restored. He has not the slightest doubt of ul imste recovery, and he believes it will only be a qhestion of a few daye when he ehall realize himself a well man. It is thus the people tale about the great curative Propertiesof the St Jacobs Oil, and it is manifest that the Ge:man remedy is effective and popu- lar. it ‘D ices. . big Det., between 6th and 7th Ly or Branch re, No. 9th st., between D and E sts northwest.
