Since the treasury began a ltitie before twelve o'clock to pay out money for uncalied five and six per cent bonds the marketis less stringent and the rate is about 6 per cent plus ',. Already in less than an hour the Treasury has patd out over $1,750,000 lawful money for 5 and 6 per cent bonds resented. It {3 reported that a well-known banking house has $5,000,600 of these bonds, which will be put io at once. As soon as the money for the $'0 000,000 bonds comes out a return to the nor- mal condition of the money market Is to be ex- pected. United States bonds at the first board were down to 112), for the fours, 111%) for 43. 100 for the fives, and 100% for the sixes, There has slnce been a recovery of 48%, Rallroad bonds early in the day fell jea5 per cent, but have since recovered ¥,a2\;.
