An Alleged Exodus Leader Arrested A REQUISITION FROM NORTH CAROLINA. ‘This morning an agent of North Carolina ar- rived here with a requisition of the governor of that state for Samuel L. Perry, on a charge made there of having forged a school certificate in Lenoir county in December, 1878. On the presentation of this requisition to Chief Justice Cartter a warrant was Issued for Perry’s art and this was served by one of the deputies of Mayshal Douglass, and Perry was taken to the Ciry Hall, Perry is the colored man who has the reputation of being the party who engi- heered the exodus of the colored people of North Carolina to Indiana, and he has been Ilv- ing here for sometime."
