Editor Sta ‘The boat race having been dis- posed of to the entire satisfaction of everytoty, I would suggest a bicycle race on New York av- enue, the contestants to start at 14th street push up op the south side of the avenue to 9th street, and turn a bicycle anchored at the head of the*parking. and return on the north side of the avenue to the starting point. IT name New York avenue for the reason that the parkiaz would make an elegant loafing place for tie eclators. There can be no possible injury to the parking, because that has been “done Tor’ sometime ago. Everybedy feels at liberty and regards it as a duty to tramp out every spear of grass that dares to raise its head xbove the ground. It is true, the parking was quite ex- pensive at the time the work was done, but the authorities do not now regard it as worth pro- tecting or preserving. For this reason I am in favor of New York avenue for the race. ANTI-GRASS Washington Market, ttetail Prices. T8.—Beef, sirloin.
