Rhodes, a peddier, was found dead in a culvert near Hickville, Long Island, in December, and the coroner's jury rendered a verdict of accidental death. But a detective caused the arrest of Jas. Seaman, and to-day he confessed to the murder in court, sa ing that with Bill Weeks, who fs now in Sing prison, he laid in wait for Rhodes. Weeks crept ap behind Rhodes and felled him with a club. They rifled his pockets of a few dellars,and hile doing so he recovered and pleaded, “For God’s sake don’t kill me.” Weeks beat his brains out with a stone.
