While it may be that there is no explicit law on the subject, for years the councils and authorities} 4a annu- ally made avrrcyriasions for this object. ‘r. Marbury offered resoiutions regretting ‘the withdrawal of the montaly allowance for medicine for the poor and medical tendance by the Commissioners, and —— fears that much suffering will ensue herefrom; and declaring that whilat willing fod anxious to continue the work, the board is a to do so on account of the want of funds.
