HISTORY OF TRINITY CHURCH, GEORGE- TOWN. It has recently been mentioned in THE STAR that Trinity Church in Georgetown is being remcielled. A writer in the Catholic Mirrcr (whom we recognize by the initials J. M. as the Rev. Father Maitrugues, the zealous and intelligent assistant pastor of tbe a gives @ sketch of the old edifica, Which wiil be of interest to many of our readers besides Catholics. He says: “The records on hand are rather scanty. They begin with the year 1506, though it is certain the church existed eight or ten years before that period.
