This morning at9 o’clock, the semi-annual exaunination of candidates for teacherships ia our public schools took place at Franklin building under the direction of the commit- tee on teachers and the superintendent. FEDERAL BUILDING ASSOCIATION.—The Federal Butlding Association which is to commence operation on Monday evening, the 5th of June, bas compieted its constitu: tion, and copies are now being distributed by the officers anddirectors. The plan being ‘thal of the old building associations,the ay ment of a dollar a share, many are Yamailiar with the workings; but one of the new Jeatures provided jn this association is that Every room in the building contained speci- mens of drawing on the blackboards.
