Be Circulation More than Three Times that of any other Daily Pa- per published in Washington, and therefore by far the Best Adver- tising Medium in the District of Columbia. One report in regard to Boss Tweed is that be is atsea. At any rate, his pursuers seem to be at sea so far as a knowledge of his Whereabouts is concerned. If he really reaches a foreign country the question of his extradition will be an interesting one. There seems to be some doubt whether he could be brought back from any of the countries with Which the United States government have treaties for the crime of statutory forgery, With which he is charged In the existing in- dictments against him. The United States have extradition treaties with hearly all Ea- ropean governments except Spain, and con- sequently, should Tweed reach Cuba, a Spanish possession, he could put his thumb to bis prominent nasal protuberance after the manner of the commander of Beaver island, in the Hudson, when called upon by Anthony Von Corlear to yield to his high mightiness, governor of New Amster- dam.
