Louis ANOTHER OUTRAGE BY A NEGRO.—0a November 17th a negro named John Toomas attempted to commit an outrage on the per- son of @ young girl, aged twelve years, named Mary Frances Lebbins, stepdatighter of Mr. James Morton, living on the farm of Alfred Ray, esq., near Knowles’ Station, on the railroad about six miles from this place. She had been sent to the meadow in com pany with a little boy for the cow and was there attacked by the black fiend, twice thrown to the ground and bad it not been for the cries of herself and the boy would no doubt have fallen a victim to his lust. A warrant was issued for his arrest by Justice D. H. Boute, and on Wednesday last he was arrested by officer J. R. Miller and safely lotged injall.
