Thit morning, before business commence | in the Police Court, Judge Sneil detivered the folbowivg opinion and order: OPINION OF THE COURT. These reasons will readily occar to any | one disposed to examine the subject, but I ceptent myself with observing’ that it gives the court and the District the full benefit of the services of the | bailiffs and Metropolitan police—as must have been intended by Congress, and will very materially add to the revenues of the court; but what is more Important, [am | fully satisfied, that this 1s the true ecnstruc- lien of the statutes as they now stand.
