Cox said the prejudices which assailed them from aimost every quarter at the be- ginping of their career had in a large measure relaxed as the citizens became con- vinced of their good works, and to the Board of Health is now accorded the credit due to it. The sanitary reformations in this Dis. trict are rully appreciated by all fair-minded persons, In future he would try to make the office of the President of the Board of Health a model in the way of fair and impartial administration.
