A MINISTER FALLS DEAD IN HIS PULPIT IN THE PRESENCE OF HIS CONGREGATION. Yesterday, about 12 o'clock, Rev. H. E. H Sore, pastor of the l2’h street southeast M. E. church, while preaching his morning sermon, Was taken suddenly ill avd expired in the pul- pit immediately afterwards. When he en‘ered the pulpit be announced to the congregation that be wae suffering from inflammation of the throat, and that his discourse would be short in conrequence of it. He then proceeded with his sermon: “Word of Lite.” “When about half through he stopped suddenly and remarked that he felt very sick, and placing his hand to his forehead, as if in pain, exclaimed: “JESUS, SAVE SAVE MB NOW,” and. wering back against the sofa, fell ina half reclining position. - Several of the congre- gation rushed forward to his assistance, first amopg whom was his wife, who, lifting his head to ber shoukler, asked: “Do you feel sick?’ He replied ‘‘yes,” and sinking back breathed his last.
