Christian and Charles Green, charged with digging up dead bodies and disposing of them for gain or profit. The first charge was that of desecrating the grave of Col. A. C. H. Webster, at the Con- essional burying ground, on the 29th of Octo- r last, and the judge dismissed it on the ground that there was not sufficient evidence to convict. The argument then was continued in folmead burial ground charge at some length. ‘THE SENTENCE. At the conclusion of the argument the court sentenced each of the prisoners to one year's imprisonment and to pay a five of $1,009. An appeal was taken and bonds fixed at $2,000. Margaret Harrison was held as a witness in bond of $5,000. HOLMEAD’S BURIAL GROUND was some time since declared by the Board of Health a ‘‘nuisance injurious to health,” anid directions were given that no bodies should hereafter be interred there. It would seem from the fact that the remains of Fletcher, whose body was exhumed by the body-snatchers on Friday night, were buried there, that the orders are not carried ou choc eee The Two Widows of the Late Police- man Price. Mr. John F. Ennis filed a petition for THE WIDOW IN IRELAND, and the court here passed an order revoking the letters of administration, and appointed Messrs. Richard Harrington and Ennis as collectors of the estate. Some weeks since they asked for the effects of Price, and the widow (the Wash- | ington one) refused to comply, and on being brought before the court a few weeks since she was admonished by Judge Olin as to her da. ties, but she still declined to accede to the or- der, stating that as long as her bondsmen stuck to her, so long would she stick to the effects of Thomas Price, her husband.
