Yesterday, aiter our report closed of the case of the 6th street Presbyterian church against the Baltimore and Potomac railroad company, before a jury to assess damages alleged to have been caused by the running of trains on 6th street— Rev. W. B. Evans (formerly of the board of trustees of public schools) testified that the basement of church had been rented by the trustees, but that they had to give it up, as it was —— to have childrenso near the rail- road track. Dr. Noble was recalled, and testified that fu- neral services in his church had been greatly interrupted by the passing trains. Witness pro- duced copies of letters addressed to Col. Thos. Scott and J.N. DuBarry, together with their replies, stating that the company declined to purchase the property, or purchase another church for the congregation. Rey. O. A. Barthvlomew and Geo. W. Gooda!! were sworn, and thought that the charch could not be replaced for less than £40,000.
