The changes which it is proposed to ree~ ommend to the general conference are, tirst, to extend to the female members of the different charges of the church the right of voting when the congregation contemplates to sever its con- nection with the Methodist Protestant Church; and, second, to amend the articles of incorpo- mended for the reason that in many instances large number of the female membersof acharge have paid for the church property, and when a few designing men, who contributed but little for its sustenance, wish to transfer it to some other denomination, Mg may «do so without consulting the women. ‘The second alteration is fayored on the ground that the property for which the conference has paid sometimes out of its hands by a vote of the members. The conference then adjourned until half- past 7 o'clock in the evening. AT THE EVENING SESSION the selection of the time and ea of the next conference was proceeded with, and en motion of Rev. T. D.
