Swawery’s Camr, near Gaithersburg, Mont- mery county, Md., February 16, 1573.—To-«lay fhere was'a funeral in camp over the remains of Alfred Loring Sanborn, an employé of the Met- ropolitan railroad. He iened trom cam for two days when the mdent, Mr. W. M.Shawen,instituted fe , and his life- less remains were found frozen on the evening of the 12th instant. He was a very inteligent man and a favorite with the officers of the road, and his fellow workmen. The superintendent,Mr. Shawen, is entitled to great praise for the man- ner in which he had the body interred.
