THE ODD FELLOWS Of the District assembled in mass mecting last evening, at their hall on ith street. P. G. Rep. 1. A. Gobright called the meeting to order, and P.G. Sire Moore was chosen cLairman, and P. G. Master Wm. I. 3 clean secretary. P.G. Sire Moore briefly stated the object of the meeting. after which P. G. Master John T Given offered resolutions, which were adopted tendering sympathy, pledging united and imm: diate action in extenling aid, and the appoin: ment of a committee of two from cach lodge and encampment to solicit contributions, and to make practical the object of the mzeti also a treasurer to receive the funds promptly handed over to the Grand S: 3 and to be by him remitted in accordance with the spirit of the resolution adopted by the Grand Lodge, which were adopted. Committees were appointed in accordance with the resolutions, and it was decided that ail funds should be donated through the commit- P. G. Alfred Gawler announced that Friendship Lodge had just contributed $199 for the sufferers. P. @. W. KR. Newman stated that avy Yard had subscribed 85, d to give $25 to the Odd Fellows’ fand and $5 to the Knights of Pythias. He turned the amount over to treasurer Given.
