SHootrxe Arrray Betweey Two Anny OFPICERS.—A bloody encounter took at Fort Duncan on Sunday, August 2, betwe-n two army officers, Ci m Archibald Bogle, ‘Twenty-i.fth United States Infantry, Post Quar- termaster at Fort Duncan, and Dr.A. C Girard, Assistant Surgeon, United States Army, in which the former was dangerously wound:d in Several places. On the day named Captain Bogle went to the door cf rd's room where the Doctor was sitting at a table with his back fronting the open door, with his wife and chill, and fired several shots at the Doctor in quick succession. but all missed. The Doctor sprang up and seizing a revolver fired six shots at the Captain, five of which took effect, one striking the Captain in the breast, between the nipples, bat not p trating the bone; one in the rig h tering the forefinger; one in the {ett hand breaking one of the fingers and requiring amputation of the same, and a shot in the upper portion of each thigh. Notwithstanding this extensive perforation of lead, Captain Bogle was out of fs in two i expected to be able to leave his in a few more. The cause ofthe tronble was owing yr.
