The conclusions arrived at were that the race should be made up of amateurs, and that no profes- sional oarsmen be admitted; and a committee was chosen to decide upon a location and report at a future meeting. The time set for the re- fatta is atout the middie of October next, with provision that smooth water be chosen. ‘There will be a four-cared shell race, with four entries, a six-oared gig race, with three entries; a lap.streak gig race, and a single scull race for the first time on the Potomac.
