Taz STATUS OF THE DisORDERLY CapETs KesTorRp.—The Secretary of War has issued an order relieving such of the members of the first class at the Military Academy as were con- cerned tn the mobbing of certain members of the fourth class from the restrictions imposed upon them for that act; condemning their con- duct, and expressing the hope that they will never again p themselves im any situation which may be discreditable to them or require the voice of authority to remind them of their duty as officers and gentlemen. ‘Tue Kvxcux Isvgeriestion.—Among the witnesses to be examined before the Kaklux Investigating Committee this week are Judge Orr and Mr. Pride, of North Carolina, and Mr. Panter, United States Commissioner of Soath Carolina, Vhe Attorney General of South Carolina, D.
