If any one is daring enough to undertake to tmprove the condition of affairs, instantly the whole paddie | ts vocal with croaks of “ring’ ’ “river ring!” “steamship ring’ “canal ring!” “market house ring'” “building territorial Terribly excited were the puddle-croakers when a few public-spirited men made up “a Ting” to establish a steamship lime between Washington and New York.
