It is also stated that the Mayor remitted the penalties against the hog-owners, enabling them To get otf scot-free ani without even paving the fines -uf¥icient to cover the expenses of the ofti- cers. There seems to be a good deal of dispute as to who are the parties responsible for the failure to execute the law, but we are afraid that a good deal of the blame will settle on the Mayor. a Tae Treatrrs.—Wail’s Opera H again jammed last night with a fashions audience.
