THE WAR, cas? NIGHT'S TALRGRSAS. ‘The following important items of war news were received here last night: r 9—A_ correspondent id, ope from the “Paris is ab le to attack, and can be nqwered only by starvation. There is an abundance of food in Paris sufficient to last two ths lon, There are six armies outside of bum! = 530,000 drilied and well-arme! men in the tield, besides numerous detatchments ct Franestireurs and garrisons. ‘The regular troops are the army of the [Loire, under General Paladini, with 120,000 men; the atmy of the west, General Keratry, 100,000 men; the army of the north, General Bourbak, 65,000 men; the army of the centre, General Tripant, co men; the army of the Khome, Generai Michel, 116,000 men, and the army of the Vosge=, General Cambrels, 45,00) men. All of these are well supplied with everything save artiller, which deficiency is rapidly being remedie: ‘Ihe army of the west has fifty-five breech loading field pieces. In no quarter is there a deficiency in money, visions, ammunition. clothing or horses. The army besieging = continues to suffer greatly from sickness, whic! constantly increases. A recent morning report he condition of the army showel an average 000 men on the sick list of each battalion, fhe nominal strength ofeach being 1,000 men. No more reinforcements can arrive from Ger- many. ACCOUNT OF THF MISSION OF M THIERS. Terres, Nov. 9—The following account of ‘Thier’s mission to Parisand Versailles is given on the best authority: ‘‘Thiers was first notitied that permission had been given for his passage through the Prussian lines to Paris by a dis- pateh from General Von der Taun at Orleans. He immediately left Tours for Orleans, whencs he traveled to Paris.in a carriage drawn by beavy Prussian artillery horses. fis progress Was necessarily slow, and he was, moreover, gteatly delayed by the condition of the roads, which had been cut and otherwise obstructed in many places. The country was desolated an! the farmbouses deserted. On reaching Versail- les, Thiers was obliged to wait three hours for past, and as svon a8 it was obtained be drove to ‘aris without seeing Bismarck er any Pras- sian diplomat, though he was constantly attend- army officers. Having consulted with tue mment at Paris, he rotarned tw Versailles. where he was received by Count Bismarck. and had ne or more interviews with nim diily during bis stay. On the question of revicta ving Paris, Bism-rck represented that the King was inflexible. As to the elections in Alsace a Lorraine, the King did not want electoral agi‘a- tions there, bat the constituent assemd y tteelf could appoint as delegates citizens deem20 worthy to represent these provinces, to which the King might be induced to consent. During conversation on this point the Prussian Minis ter sarcastically observed that, if electious were allowed in occupied departments, t uld be the freest ever held there. On the morning of the 6th, M. Thiers received the fin i! decision of the Prassianr, He then mt Ly ap- pointment Jules Favre and General Darcot, at the bridge ot Seives, informed them of the a sian terms and they went back to Paris, M. ‘Thiers awaiting their return at Seives. As;oon aa they had consulted their colleagues they returned and stated that they hat resolved to refuse the armistice because it dit not conce le the revictualing of Paris. This resolution was communicated to Count Bismarck and neg tia- tions were broken oti. ED. ANICHOLS. To cure these affections, we must bring into action the muscles, which are engaged in their va- rious fanctions. Drax t2—I have been « sufferer, for upwards of twenty years, with gravel, biadder, and kidney affec- tions, during which time I have used varions medi cipal preparations, and been under the treatment of the most «min-nt tle revter. Baving seen your preparations extensively adver- tised, Tcupsulted wich my family physician im re aysicians, expe jencing bat lit- gard to uring your Extract Buchu, 1 4id this becanse I had used all kinds of adver- Nised remedies, and bad found them Siriptess, and some quite inj in fact, 1 despaired of ever getting well, and determined to uso no remedies hereafter unless 1 knew of the ingredients. It was this that prompted me to use your remedy. As you advertised that it was composed of buchn, cubsbs, and juniper berries, it occurred to meand my physician as an excellent combination, and, with his advice, after an examination of the article, and consalting again with the druggist, £ concluded to try it. 1 commenced fits use about eight months ago, at which time 1 was confined to my room. From the firet bottle I was astonished and gratified at the beneficial effect, and after using it three wecks, was able to walk cut, 1 felt much like writing rue tull statement of my case st that time, bat th: maught my improvement might only be temporary, and therefore conclaced to defer and see if it would effect a perfect cure, knowing then it would be of greater value to you, and more entisfactory to me. Iam now able to report that « care is effected after using the remedy for five months. Ihave pot ased ap) now for three mouths, and fi ae well in all respects as I ever did.
