The following is a cer- atement of the whole dreadful aifair: On Monday iast, two colored men calling themselves respectively Oharles Browa aad Jacob man—under arrest by and in charge of Wm. Scroggin, Deputy Sueriff of Warren county, J. L. Jarman, aud other citi- zens, Were brougbt into Frent Royal, accused of au outrage u the person of Miss Atica Thompson, daughter of Thomas J. Thomp- son, living near Happy Oreek Station, on tne Orange, Alexandra and Manassas Railroad, such was the indignation of the crowd tweudance upon court, upon Iearaing that they were charged with so heinous an offence, that it required the utmost exertions of the conservators of the peace and others to prevent summary justice being inflicted npon them.
