H. Craig, Esq.. came off yes- \erday. At an early bour in the morning the people from the surrounding country began to assemble in the beautital grove ot Mr. Varnell, ‘who bad kindly tendered it for (be use of the school. A large platform had been erected and seats provided for the accommoda‘ion of the people, and a band of music greatly added to the pleasure of the occasion. At 10) o'clock the school was called to order by the principal, W. H. Craig. and after prayer by the President of the School Commis-ioners, R. W.
